Academic background

I received my PhD from the University of Cambridge in 1996 in philosophy of physics (foundations of quantum mechanics). Postdoc 1995 in the Hebrew University; 1996 in Tel-Aviv University; 1997 Ben-Gurion University. In 1998 I joined the philosophy department at the University of Haifa. In 2006 I spent a year (sabbatical) at Columbia University.

Research interests

My work is divided into two threads: In philosophy of physics I focus mainly on the conceptual foundations of quantum mechanics and statistical physics. In philosophy of mind I focus on the mind-body question and the thesis of physicalism.
